Another thing is, my first instinct was to chop off all of Felicia's long hair, because I like the clean lines of the bob. Even though not all of the collaborations and reproductions are to my taste, I appreciate what MGA is doing with the brand and I hope that some of my ''grail'' dolls will get reproduced, too.

The limited-edition dolls aim to represent the youthful spirit of both brands, and fall in line with Bratz’ foray into the world of fashion. I will be honest, I did not see the brand releasing much more past this year based on the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 releases… but, I feel so much more confident about the future of the brand and Mowalola is the cherry on top of the cake for this season’s releases.

Behind the character artwork, the second outfit—which is fitted to the iconic Formal Funk mannequin stands—and Certificate of Authenticity are displayed. The plastic shell also features the character artwork placed on the opposite side of the doll in the box, as well as the Bratz and Mowalola logos at the bottom; the character artwork and logos are also featured on the sides of each box. Felicia is such a striking doll, and even though her articulation is limited, her poses are stunning. I couldn't understand why there were Walkman logos all over this doll until you mentioned that they are Mowalola logos!

Felicia’s skintone seems to have different undertones in comparison to her other dolls, which you can see in the gallery. Most of the pieces are pleather and fit very nicely to the dolls’ bodies, which is something that the brand sometimes struggles with.

I do get more into this topic in my YouTube video about the dolls, but this collection—along with all the Fall 2022 dolls released from the brand—feels like a major step in the right direction for the Bratz brand. This collaboration with the brand gave me the opportunity to re-examine the ideals of beauty and femininity and how I could bring Bratz into my world and make them reflect my own ideas of beauty. The Mowalola dolls are definitely a separation from the typical Bratz look, embracing a more edgy look.

BTW, The reason for the salamander theme is because Felicia is nicknamed Glam Gecko, it's great to see it finally expressed and implemented in one of her dolls. Felicia's drip isn't really my style, but I can appreciate how clear and novel of an aesthetic it is. The “M” logo is also featured on the inside of Felicia’s boots, which leads me to talk about the shoes. With the Mowalola dolls, I recommend only washing the loose hair and not the styled pieces at the top. Both dolls have been given the full Mowalola treatment; Felicia has yellow and black thigh-high platform boots, a red MTV leather jacket, or a black maxi dress with black detailing.

Fan favourites, Jade and Felicia dolls have been redesigned by Mowalola and MGA and are dressed in special outfits made exclusively for this collaboration. Also, it can be hard to engage the zipper, and Felicia's arm mobility is limited when she's wearing the jacket. The stand is too short for Felicia, so it's included entirely for the purpose of holding up the fashion form or mannequin.

After many years of reading and commenting on your blog (inconsistently as both DB and Dmitry), I've finally been convinced and inspired by your work to start my own as a place to put all my deep-diving thoughts into the dolls and other toys that have caught my attention.However, after seeing more pictures and reading your review I definitely found more appreciation for these dolls. Felicia comes with the “MTV” zip-up jacket and skirt, “5 Star” top, “Poison Pleaser” platform boots, “Venom” dress, “Toxic” sunglasses, and “Glam Gecko Bundle” bag. Felicia wears a red pleather ‘MTV’ zip-up jacket and skirt with the Mowalola logo, a white star-shaped ‘5 STAR’ pleather top, and ‘POISON PLEASER’ platform boots.
